Mondrian, Cube Designing and Calculation

It's Wednesday right now. I just realize something about time -- when I'm actually focus while working on something, time actually passed by slowly. Much slower than I'm surfing the net or playing games, or sleeping. Speaking about sleeping, I really have some problem with that. Yesterday was a huge lesson for me, I slept way too late -- at about 10am, and then woke up at 7pm, and thus, missed my Computer Modeling class between 4 to 6. That's when I've decided to sleep earlier today.

However, this morning did not go on waste. I spend some time practicing my photography skills, looking for a solution to convert APE to MP3 and failed trying. But I took a good picture of my room. I don't know what the others my think, but I kinda feel a tint of awesomeness when looking at this pic.

Although there's nothing special about it, I still think
the angle is great, and I made it my phone's wallpaper.

Well, that's the best I've got so far, and then I proceed to sleeping. When I woke up, it was... 7pm!!! Hopefully my friend signed my attendance for me...

Then I started working on my Design Process's assignment...
My concept for this assignment was particularly on shapes, dimension and angle. I don't have any other choice but to choose Piet Mondrian's painting as a role model, even though I do know that my senior had already done his work on Mondrian, so I'm kinda like cheating right now... in a good way.

First step is about designing the structure and exterior design of the cube.

Some calculation are also needed in order to make it more perfect. If one of the measurement is worng, I'll have to start all over again... damn! That's what happened 5 minutes ago...
A very important tool for a designer, an architect...

But instead, I use it to cut through papers... it's still a good tool though.

5 hours later, the first design is done. For certain technical reason, this photo appears to be rotated to -90 degree.

I'm having serious headache right now, really gotta sleep... good night...
